New Casual trainer/assessor position available

Once again, the DAPA is seeking a dedicated and experienced trainer/assessor for Certificate III and Certificate IV in Dental Assisting.
Initially this is a casual position with most of the student oversight being distance based training, involving occasional travel to workplaces for student practical assessment visits. Applicants based in Sydney or within easy travelling distance would be preferred.

To be considered for this position, it is essential that you demonstrate the following requirements:
 Desire to work within the governance framework of a NFP Professional Association which encourages students to meet their full potential,
 Minimum of 5 years current experience in delivering engaging and motivating training,
 Proven excellence in communication and support of students undertaking VET training,
 Commitment to continue to develop your VET knowledge and skills,
 Current understanding of Smart and Skilled traineeship reporting and obligations,
 Participate in DAPA trainer’s continuous improvement education program,
 Ability to manage your industry currency and trainer/assessor competence,
 Able to demonstrate current industry skills and experience directly relevant to the training/assessment being delivered,
 Monitor student academic progress, intervene where necessary and support student's progress,
 Participate in and contribute to moderation and validation,

You will be required to -
 Hold a current TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. This is essential - please do not apply if you do not hold this qualification.
 Have the relevant vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed (HLTDA35015 – Certificate III in Dental Assisting and HLTDA45015 – Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (Radiography and Practice Administration)
 Hold a current NSW EPA IA20 User Radiation Licence.
 Have a current WWC check
 Have access to a reliable home computer and internet access.

Strongly desirable –
• Experience in Vettrak Student Management system would be a considerable advantage.
• Experience in development of Training and Assessment resources

What's on offer?

You'll be working with a small friendly team and reporting to the CEO. Most student assignment work can be marked in your own home with minimal need to access the office at Stanmore, however regular communication with the office manager will be required. Workplace visits which involve travel will be arranged in consultation with the office manager.
